About Me

Jenny King, PTA, LMT

I grew up on a farm here in Jones County and am now raising my family with my husband and two kids on that same family farm that has been passed down since my great grandfather. Anamosa was a great place to grow up! I am excited to have the opportunity to give back to the community and bring something positive!

I became interested in this career path when I had a knee injury in the U.S. Army. I had to have two surgeries and lots of therapy to get back to my prior level of fitness.

I received my Massage Therapy degree here in Jones County from Carlson College of Massage Therapy in Stone City. I continued my education attending the Physical Therapists Assistant program at Kirkwood Community College.

I have since attended many specialty courses in Vertigo, adhesion release, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), sports massage, myofascial release, kinesiology taping, yoga & meditation, MAR & IAR (Manual & Instrument Adhesion Release), focussing on adhesion release due to sports injury, overuse, and post surgery.

I am Licensed and insured in the state of Iowa for Massage Therapy and Bodywork. I have also met the professional standards established for recognition as a professional member with active status in good standing with the American Massage Therapy Association. Along with that, I am a licensed PTA in the state of Iowa.  I currently work at Wapsi Physical Therapy & Fitness Center as needed. I was previously working as the Rehab Coordinator at Monticello Nursing and Rehab Center from 2014-2017 before I decided to go back to what I was truly passionate for.
